Hello InuitTapiriit, thanks for joining Wikipedia! Concerning m:Proposals for closing projects/Closure of Inuktitut Wikipedia, you should be aware that in any case this discussion does not mean, that a closure was imminent. Those closure debates usually take very long, and the actual discontinuation of a Wikimedia project is a rare event. Even in this case, a re-opening of an Inuktitut edition would almost certainly be approved, if a dedicated group of prospective contributors shows up. However, as I suggested, a major sign of commitment that would greatly advance the continuation of this edition would be, if, say, one or two native speakers would volunteer as administrators. It is a pity that many of the smaller wikis have no admins with sufficient command of the target language. One often gets the feeling that those Wikis and the people who are meant to use and contribute to them, are living in different universes. Priority tasks for prospective admins would be to localize the interface (foremost the navigation bar on the left side), plus occasionally deleting spam and blocking vandals. Welcome to the Inuktitut Wikipedia! I'm administrator here for three months now and most edits I saw in that time were vandalism or automatical edits. There is not a single native speaker active on this wiki at the moment. But it would be a real pity if there were no Wikipedia in Inuktitut any more. So I hope you enjoy this possibility to improve the preservation process of the Inuktitut language and script.
