Question for anyone willing to answer: I notice the title is ᐅᐃᒍᐃᕐᒥᐅᖅ/uiguirmiq - should it not be uiguirmiuq? I'm a complete newbie at this, so corrections very welcome. :-) ᐋᕐᓓᓐ 09:53, 6 ᔪᓂ 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, seems so. I'm not an Inuktitut speaker but yes there is a u. However, it might be wrong in the script... One needs to look it up in a dictionary. --Thogo (ᐊᓪᓚᖁᑎᒃᑲ) 08:58, 6 ᔪᓂ 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, if only there was such a dictionary! There are zero Google results for ᐅᐃᒍᐃᕐᒥᖅ, and about 13 unique results for ᐅᐃᒍᐃᕐᒥᐅᖅ, most to do with Wikipedia itself. It brought my attention to this page on Commons, however, which uses the word ᐅᐃᒍᐃᕐᒥᐅᖅ to refer to French. Anyways, just an observation. :) ᐋᕐᓓᓐ 09:53, 6 ᔪᓂ 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think uiguirmiuq refers to French people. The language would be ᐅᐃᒍᐃᑎᑐᑦ.
It would be really nice if people checked for easily-verified attested forms before starting articles. —װיקי װיקאַרדאָ 22:30, 17 ᐊᐃᐳᕆᓪ 2014 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. There is such a dictionary. —װיקי װיקאַרדאָ 22:33, 17 ᐊᐃᐳᕆᓪ 2014 (UTC)[reply]
